Patricia Roberts- Harris, the first Black woman to hold a cabinet position and serve as a U.S. Ambassador. She was also the first Black woman to head a law school. She served in the Carter Administration from 1979 to 1981 as the Secretary of Housing, Education and Welfare. She was a graduate of Howard University and George Washington University Law School.
